Fly fishing traces its roots way, way back even two thousand years ago from this day. It has been named such from the artificial or fake flies that the fishermen would use as bait in this activity. In this technique or method of fishing, synthetic objects are crafted in a manner that would make them appear as though they are the prey that fish usually eat, instead of using live or dead real ones as bait. These artificial baits are designed depending on what kind of fish you would like to attract as there is a variety of baits that different fishes are enticed by. This artificial bait is then attached of course to the hook and is thrown out into the water. When it is already in the water, the fly is then moved rhythmically to resemble the movements of insects that are in water so that fish will notice it and begin to make a amove.
Under fly fishing, there are two different types called wet fishing and dry fishing. In wet fishing, the fly is fully submerged in water so that the fish beneath the surface will get attracted to it. In contrast to that, dry fishing is the act of allowing the fish to stay up on the surface and have it move there rhythmically so that the fish themselves will rise up and try to catch it at the surface.
